So what exactly does one do with ~4 acres of (steeply-sloped) forested land?
In our case, our goals for the Cull Castle land are to provide our structures with some fire defensibility, and increase the health of the forest, with an eye towards resiliency in a climate-changing future.
There’s an insane amount to learn, and it’s thanks in part to the income from our Airbnbs that we have been able to devote a not-insignificant part of our time to getting educated about, and working on our land, so that it can be better appreciated by all of our visitors as well!
