Plumas County is a wonderful hidden gem! As areas like Tahoe/Truckee get more expensive for visitors, they look to areas nearby…areas like Portola/Plumas! There is a rising demand for short term accommodations, that is very quickly outpacing the small supply.
As full time residents of this beautiful area, it is a thorn in our side to see astounding properties not being utilized, or worse, falling into disrepair – especially when we know that there are plenty of people who would be over the moon to enjoy the space – both for a relaxing weekend, to those living + working in Plumas County, which has virtually no market for renters.
We are avid travelers, and use Airbnb ourselves as guests all over the globe! So when we stumbled into the opportunity to buy the house of our dreams, with a finished basement apartment…it was obviously destined to be a future Airbnb. It did so well that it didn’t take us long at all to decide to invest in another property.

What kind of services do you offer?
Whether you’re looking just to talk to someone about the possibility of making your property available, someone to create a listing, clean between guests, or total management so you can be hands-off, we are happy to share our experience and negotiate a reasonable rate.
Cleaning: $20/hr, 2 hr minimum
Consulting/listing draft: $100/hr
Management (including cleaning): typically 30% of host payout, $200 start up and 6 month min commitment
